Digital Connectors Jump-Start Summer Program

The Neighborhood Technology Resource Center is proud to announce that this summer, 35 talented local Bronzeville/North Lawndale/West Town students, the majority of whom are CHA/CHAC residents, will participate in a paid summer internship with NTRC at our Homan Square and FIC locations. Students participating in this program were selected from a large applicant pool and range in age from 14-21.

FIC participants will spend their time learning the fundamentals of computer hardware which will include how to take apart and build a computer. Furthermore, FIC Digital Connectors will gain valuable leadership training and the opportunity to help organize a community technology fair.

At Homan Square, 15 students will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and computer knowledge through the work they will do for local Lawndale businesses. Participating Lawndale businesses include:
